Ustad Rashid Khan, a proverbial musician, was threatened with death a few days ago. Sniper shelves are set up in front of his house on the ground floor, threatening to shoot him as soon as he leaves. It has been alleged that Rs 50 lakh was also demanded.
Allegedly, Rasheed’s daughter got a call on her mobile a few days ago. It is said that there is a sniper shelf in front of the house and the artist will be shot at Berolei. On October 9, his family lodged a complaint with Netaji Nagar Police Station.
Then the police called to investigate the incident. The artist’s former driver Deepak Aulaka and former office assistant were arrested from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The hooliganism branch of the Calcutta Police has been active since receiving the complaint.
The investigation has revealed that Deepak had been driving at Rashid’s house for a few days. The arrested assistant also worked for a few months. Both were fired for some reason. According to the police sources, during the interrogation, the detainees said that the threat-phone was due to that aggression.
It is learned that the detainees have been brought to the state on transit remand. The accused called by hiding the mobile number in the identity hide. However, in the end, the Kolkata police found them by tracking the tower location of the mobile phone. It is also being investigated whether anyone else is involved.
