Shahul Hameed ( 1953-1998)  was a renowned playback singer in the Indian music industry, known for his melodious voice and versatile singing style. He was born on 3rd August 1951 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He started his career in the early 1970s and went on to sing numerous hit songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. He received several accolades for his contribution to the music industry and was widely respected by his peers and fans.

Biography:

Shahul Hameed was born in a family of music lovers, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. He started learning classical music at a young age and was also influenced by the popular music of his time. He started performing in music competitions and local events and soon gained recognition for his singing skills.

In the early 1970s, Shahul Hameed got his break as a playback singer in the Tamil film industry. He worked with several music directors and singers and soon became a popular choice for film songs. He also sang in other South Indian languages and won the hearts of audiences with his soulful renditions.

Over the years, Shahul Hameed collaborated with several leading music directors and singers, including Ilaiyaraaja, A.R. Rahman, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, K.J. Yesudas, and Chithra. He sang several hit songs, including “Azhagiya Kanne” (Uthiripookkal), “Vaigaraiyil” (Kuruvi), “Ninaithathu Yaaro” (Ninaithathu Yaaro), “Rasathi” (Thiruda Thiruda), and “Manjal Poosum” (Nerukku Ner).

Life History:

In 2009, Shahul Hameed suffered a heart attack and underwent a bypass surgery. He took a break from his music career to focus on his health but made a comeback in 2012 with the Malayalam film “My Boss.”

Unfortunately, Shahul Hameed passed away on 22nd June 2013, at the age of 61. His sudden demise was a shock to the music industry and his fans, who mourned his loss. However, his legacy lives on through his music, which continues to inspire and entertain generations of music lovers.
